Landscape Design in Reno & Northern Nevada

We design outdoor spaces that fit your property, your budget, and the way Northern Nevada actually behaves: alkaline soil, hard freezes, and a short growing season. You get a plan before anyone breaks ground.

Landscape Design Built For High Desert Conditions

Get a plan for the whole yard before anyone breaks ground, so the work happens in the right order and nothing gets torn out later. Perez Landscaping designs and builds residential landscapes across Reno, Sparks, and Northern Nevada.

  • 35 years of local experience

Ramiro Perez has been designing and building here since 1990.

  • The designer is the builder

No handoff between someone who draws and a crew who improvises.

  • Drainage comes first

A good looking yard over an unsolved drainage problem is a temporary result.

  • You get the owner

Ramiro walks the property, quotes the job, and is on site while it gets built.

Landscape Design Services

  • Full yard plans

Front, back, or the whole property, including new construction with bare dirt.

  • Hardscape layouts

Patios, walkways, retaining walls, and steps, and how they connect.

  • Planting plans

Plants suited to our soil and season, grouped by water need.

  • Phased plans

A plan for the whole yard that gets built in stages as the budget allows.

Design Options

We plan around how you actually use the yard: kids, dogs, entertaining, privacy, parking, or simply less maintenance. You choose the balance of lawn, planting, rock, and hardscape, and we tell you honestly what will grow where on your property.

Timeline

Design usually takes a few days to a couple of weeks depending on property size and how much detail you need. Build timelines vary with scope, and you get a real one in the estimate rather than an optimistic guess.

Care And Maintenance

We hand off with straightforward guidance for the plants and the irrigation we installed, including seasonal watering adjustments and what each area needs in its first year while it establishes.

See The Difference

“I had a rather small project for a retaining wall, and Perez Landscaping was perfect for the task. Ramiro the owner answered my request on Sunday, came out to scope the project on Monday, and had it done by Wednesday!”

Landscape Design FAQs

Do I need a design, or can you just build it?

Small, self contained jobs often do not need much of one. Full yards, drainage problems, and anything with grade changes benefit from a plan, because the build order matters.

Can I build it in phases?

Yes. We sequence it so drainage, grading, and structural work happen first, with planting and finish work following when you are ready.

Will you work with a plan I already have?

Yes. Bring it and Ramiro will tell you what works on your site and what it costs to build.

When should I start planning?

Winter and early spring, so you are ready to build when the season opens. Hardscape runs roughly March through November and planting is a tighter window.

Do you handle permits?

We tell you when one is needed and what it involves, including retaining walls that need one because of what sits above them.
